University of Maryland Extension and The Mill present a joint Pruning Workshop designed for perennial fruit growers looking to improve yield, fruit quality, and long-term plant health. This educational program will cover pruning fundamentals for apples, peaches, blueberries, blackberries , and other perennial fruit crops. The workshop begins at The Mill with indoor instruction and concludes with hands-on pruning demonstrations at the University of Maryland Lower Eastern Shore Research and Extension Center (LESREC) . Participants will practice pruning techniques in the field and receive guided instruction and feedback from Extension educators. 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Indoor pruning instruction and demonstrations at The Mill 12:00 – 1:00 PM Lunch followed by travel to LESREC 1:00 – 2:30 PM Hands-on blueberry and blackberry pruning at LESREC Lunch and a pair of hand pruners are included. The workshop will begin upstairs at The Mill , accessible by a flight of stairs.
