The region’s unique artistic style will take the spotlight when the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum hosts the Eastern Shore Sea Glass & Coastal Arts Festival on April 18-19. CBMM kicks off its festival season with a weekend of fun for the whole family featuring fantastic shopping, great food and drinks, live music on two stages, and more. The popular celebration of all things sea glass will run 10am–5pm on Saturday and 10am–4pm on Sunday, with all tickets valid for admission on both days.

The Salisbury Zoo’s Earth Day celebration is a free event open to everyone. This celebration aims to promote a reverence for wildlife while also raising awareness about our environment. The event will feature some of the Zoo’s ambassador animals and animal care talks at our animals’ habitats. Environmental exhibitors from the Lower Shore along with many unique vendors. Children can also learn about nature through discovery boxes and nature play. This event is Rain or Shine.

For 18 years, Ocean 98 has been letting you choose who has the Best Bloody Mary in the local area! This year’s contest will be held in Morley Hall at Seacrets in Ocean City, MD on Sunday April 19th at Noon. A $20 donation towards Ocean 98’s Cash for College fund at the door will allow you to vote on Best Overall, Best Presentation, and Spiciest Bloody Mary! Must be 21 or older to attend. All contestants will be given Seacrets Distilling Company Vodka to use, just bring your mix and add-ons for presentation. Each entrant can attempt for any of the 3 categories and may bring multiple styles of mix to compete with. Please bring enough mix for at least 550–750 samples. Participants can dress their table as they see fit, but will only be given approximately the space of a four top table. Proceeds will benefit the Ocean 98 Cash for College Fund.
